This
film may have well been called ‘Kicking and Screaming’ as that’s pretty much
all that happens. It has a plot, although there’s really no substance to it, it’s
all Bruce Lee punching and kicking the hell out of people. He is invincible –
as long as you run at him one by one and (conveniently) don’t have any guns to
use against him. He can probably dodge bullets too, or at least they would
simply not penetrate his sinewy, toned muscles. The amount of onomatopoeia levels
on absurd, to the point where you wonder whether they are trying to make a joke
out of it. I also prefer Kung-Fu movies to have bad guys that can actually put
up a bit of a fight, but the three good guys seem to be the best, and the bad
guy is old and ‘cheats’ with his screw on weapons. There’s not much else to say
– it’s a martial arts movie – but watch it just for Bruce Lee’s speed. He is,
after all, a legend.
